Cookie Policy
Effective May 31, 2026
This policy explains how Noeta uses cookies and similar storage technologies on noetascribe.com and within the Noeta application.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We also use the browser's localStorage and sessionStorage APIs, which serve a similar purpose. For brevity we refer to all of these as "cookies".
Categories we use
Strictly necessary (always on)
- Session / auth tokens — keep you signed in.
- Consent state — remembers your cookie choices.
- CSRF protection — prevents request forgery.
Preferences
- Theme (light/dark) and UI density.
- Active practice selection.
Analytics (with your consent)
- Aggregate product analytics — which features clinicians use and where they get stuck. No PHI is sent to analytics providers.
Marketing (with your consent)
- Measurement of marketing campaigns and conversion. Only used on public marketing pages — never inside the clinical app.
Managing your choices
You can change your preferences any time by clicking in the footer of any page. You can also block cookies in your browser settings, though strictly-necessary cookies cannot be turned off without breaking the site.
Third parties
We do not currently set any third-party advertising cookies. If we add an analytics or marketing provider, we will update this list and ask for fresh consent.
Retention
Cookies expire between 1 day (session) and 12 months (preferences). We re-prompt for consent whenever this policy changes materially.
